High Performance Buildings and Passive House, Wed 06.06.2012

Wed 06.06.2012

AIA CES: 7.5 LUs | 7.5 HSW | 7.5 SD

When: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6

Where: At The Center

Spend the day with Dr. Straube learning about high performance buildings and Passive House.

PH and high performance net zero capable buildings share many of the same goals and use common strategies. However, there are differences some significant. This seminar will compare and contrast high performance net zero energy building design to the PH approach by looking at specific building types, occupancy, and components. In the process, you will learn the fundamentals of high performance design and gain an understanding of the tradeoffs and practicalities that can be encountered.

As he always does, John will provide thought provoking examples and analysis to shed light on what is truly important in a high performance building design.
